Halloumi Cheese Salad

Halloumi Salad

I only ever have halloumi on the BBQ.  As it doesn’t look like we’re going to have one any time soon (it’s still in the box in the garage) I needed another way to get my fix. A salad seemed the

Mexican Lasagne

mexican lasagne

I’ve been wanting to make a mexican-style lasagne for a while now, and after googling for recipes I decided to do something along the lines of this recipe but with our beloved beany fajhita sauce. It was easy to make, although it

Cheese & Bean wraps

Cheese & Bean Wraps I stumbled across this recipe & thought it would be good for a quick & easy, store-cupboard type meal of the kids. They both ate it, but neither of them were that keen.  DD1 complained about

Grilled Cheese Sandwich

I’m not really sure why I bothered making this for the girls.  DD1 (1.11) still deconstructs any sandwich you give her, and DD2 (4.5) sometimes doesn’t like like mozerella, &/or melted cheese.  I liked them though! Note to self: next

Little Gold Men

mmmmm – I can’t believe it has taken me *so* long to get round to making these! They were really easy to make, DD1 (3.11) loved rolling out the dough & cutting the little men out, DD2 (1.5) enjoyed playing

Roasted Vegetables with Hallumi

I found this on the We Don’t Eat Anything With A Face blog & thought it looked perfect for a light tea. Below is what I made for DD1 & DD2. Obviously you can change the veg to suit

Spaghetti with Tomatoes, Black Olives, Garlic, and Feta

I saw this on Pinterest (follow me!) I can’t stand capers & hardly ever add salt (especially with such a salty cheese), so missed them out.  The kids both love feta, olives & spaghetti, so I’m really hoping they’ll like
