sweet vegetable medley

From Annabel Karmel‘s “Baby & Toddler meal planner“.  This was DD1’s first “recipe” and it will be DD2’s too 🙂


  • 100g (1 medium) carrot, peeled & chopped
  • 100g (0.25 medium) swede, peeled & chopped
  • 100g (0.5 medium) potato, butternut squash or pumpkin, peeled & chopped
  • 50g (0.5 medium) parsnip, peeled & chopped
  • 300ml water or milk (it’s ok to use cow’s milk once they reach 6 months)

  1. put the veg in a pan with the water or milk
  2. bring to the boil, then simmer for 15 min or the veg is tender
  3. remove the veg & puree in a blender with as much of the cooking liquid as needed
ahhh… she really liked it!

This filled 6 of the little brother max pots – she ate one for lunch
