rice pudding (slow cooker)

Oh yummy, rice pudding 🙂 Any recipe that starts with the phrase “butter the inside of the slow cooker” must be good!  The original recipe served 8, so I halved it.

Ingredients

  • 75g pudding rice
  • 20g butter
  • 50g sugar
  • 750ml milk
  • pinch of nutmeg

Preparation

  1. Butter the inside of the slow cooker
  2. Put all the ingredients in. 
  3. Give it a good mix, and cook on low for 3 – 4 hours *** not long enough ***

Verdict?
After 3hrs the rice wasn’t cooked, so I turned it up to high. Tested it again after another hour & it was cooked, but still too runny (although we ate some) I left in in for another couple of hours on low while we put the kids to bed & had our dinner & it was perfect
